Elizabeth Evans is a journalist and creative writer of fiction and poetry. When she’s not writing, she’s painting, designing jewelry, traveling, cosplaying, or trying to catch up on reading from her overflowing bookshelves.
She holds a Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, Editing and Publishing from Sam Houston State University where she served as Editor of the Gordian Review. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Texas A&M University, with a minor in Journalism. She was a recipient of the Houston Press Club’s Journalism Scholarship during her time at A&M.
While pursuing her graduate degree, she worked as a Teaching Assistant in the English Department, and also as Area News Editor at the Trinity Standard. She held the latter position until transitioning to the Layout Editor of the Courier of Montgomery County through early 2019.
She has provided copyediting and proofreading services for Madville Publishing since 2018, in addition to her various artistic endeavors.
She’s a self-professed nerd in love with all things comics, science fiction, and fantasy. She currently resides in Austin with her cat son, Dean.
